The URI Surf Club has approximately 40+ active members and each is a member of the ESA (Eastern Surfing Association). There are also hundreds of alumni scattered all over the country and many more who are too busy with their studies to remain active within the club. The Surf Club has a list-server that distributes important emails to clubmembers and is the method used to keep everyone up to date on Surf Club activities.

The current President is Dave Bonnano and the Vice-President is Eric Scottaline. Each year the entire club is hard at work organizing surf and skate contests. All members are given an option to compete but it is not mandatory.

Each year trips are taken to Cape Hatteras (NC), Long Beach Island (NJ), Florida and more. In RI we are near some of the best surf spots on the entire East Coast such as Ruggles, Matunuck, Point Judith and many others.

If you would like to join or become an associate member you're in luck! If you attend a nearby college that is within 50 miles of the University of Rhode Island then you might be able to join. The club is trying to expand it's horizons by competing and chillin with other people and organizations on the East Coast. If you'd like to join, see the contact page for contact info.
